Airport clearing equipment

using an effect of gas stream – General information

We have the pleasure to inform you about multipurpose device for airport, rails and industrial cleaning. The equipment uses the cleaning and drying effect of a directed gas stream, generated by a jet engine. Although the principle has been known for many years, our multipurpose cleaning equipment is the result of more than ten years service experience and consecutive, continuing development.

The current multipurpose cleaning equipment is suitable for clearing primarily airport surfaces, runways, heliports, as well as railways from sand, small stones, debris and foreign objects.

The multipurpose cleaning equipment can be mounted to any heavy-duty truck, equipped by standard DIN 76060 hinge, adapted to other hinge standard or fixed to railway wagon.

Three different devices, differing in stream power, are being offered to potential customers.

ADD

This device is convenient for smaller areas, such as taxiways, parking areas for small GA aircraft, spaces in front of hangars etc. Effective reach of the gas stream is 10 – 12 m.

ADE

The ADE equipment was developed to clean narrow runways and other operational areas at any airport. Effective reach of the gas stream is 12 – 15 m, including safe clearing of runway edge lighting airport system. The equipment is already used by Prague International Airport (LKPR).

ADE2

This device is similar to ADE, but uses two engines installed on each end of the cleaning ramp. This allows an increasing cleaning effect over a wide area and makes it possible to clear a standard runway in a single pass. Recently ADE 2 equipment is used at Stuttgart Airport - Germany, as a complementary de-icing and cleaning means for runway, airstrips, parking areas and other suitable surfaces.

All of the products are based on aircraft jet engines (Czech made M701 or M601). These Walter company engines were modified and adapted for use in cleaning devices. The cleaning effect is achieved by channeling the flow of the gases leaving combustion chamber through specially adapted engine nozzle. Special control devices regulate the flow and allow for high efficiency of the cleaning process. The design allows for single person operation and the start-up procedure is controlled automatically after ignition with one central button.
